An Australian expat arrested in Serbia more than a year ago has faced a Sydney court for allegedly attempting to smuggle 1.3 tonnes of cocaine. The 35-year-old had been behind bars in Belgrade since his arrest in January last year. He is the third person to be detained over the 2,500 blocks of cocaine found in pre-fabricated steel in 2017. He will face court again on February 13.
