March 20, 2019. The Prime Minister Scott Morrison speaking at press conference in Canberra about the government's new population policy announced today. The Minister for Cities, Urban Infrastructure and Population, Alan Tudge and the Minister for Immigration David Coleman joined the prime minister in outlining the policy. Mr Morrison says the immigration level capped at 160,000 people per year is set so as not to have a negative fiscal impact.
